     Selena Gomez comes from a background of mixed ethnicities, her father is Mexican American and her mother is half Italian.  She began acting when she was just seven years old and got signed by Disney in 2004.  Her rise to fame came in 2007 when she played as Alex Russo in the Disney series called Wizards of Waverly Place.   Selena has won several awards for acting and has sold over 1.3 million albums as a singer.  She is currently dating Canadian singer, Justin Bieber.  Selena will star in three 2012 movies called Hotel Transylvania, Thirteen Reasons Why, and Hot Mess.  She is currently filming on  the 2013 movie called Spring Breakers.

     Selena Gomez is a sweet young girl who became UNICEF's youngest ambassador at the age of seventeen.  She is a talented singer and actress with a very sweet smile.  She might be young but her career and life is definitely on the right track.  Selena has a good head on her shoulders and will continue to have success for many years to come.
